Tree trunk transportation in large volumes
Antwerp Cargo Movers has been specialising in the transportation of logs since 2017. There is no volume we cannot handle. Every year, we ship tens of thousands of containers. In a declining market, these figures speak for themselves.
We mainly load in Western Europe and ship to countless destinations, as far away as China and Vietnam even.
Process
The logging process can be broken down into the following phases:
- The trees are cut into logs of – ideally – 11.8 metres.
- The logs are collected and measured.
- The logs are loaded onto a container truck in or near the forest.
- The containers with logs are fumigated with sulfuryl difluoride.
- The logs are transferred to the required means of transport and delivered to the desired destination.
The trees are checked by the competent phytosanitary services.
